How We Started

  • Welcoming place that engages each child.

In 2015 we established Scotlands first Islamic Nursery with 8 children attending nursery on a part-time basis. We started off as a private nursery and then later after receiving a good report from the care inspectorate (Click Here). Today we have over 55 children of  5 different nationalities and have moved to larger areas offering high-quality education from 2-year-olds in early years through to our primary school.

At Little Wonders, we treat every child as a unique individual entrusted to us by parents to give them the best possible start in life. As a school, we take this responsibility very seriously and are dedicated to ensuring that we fulfil our obligation.

The school continues to go from strength to strength which is reflected in the high levels of attainment of our children. This is due to the commitment of the hard work of our staff and the dedication of our nursery manager Mrs Farah Moughal.

We hope that we are able to answer those very important questions that you are likely to have. We are open 38 weeks a year Monday to Friday 8 AM to 3 PM providing childcare for 2 to 5-year-olds.

We have an excellent spacious stimulating foundation unit (Nursery), where children are given the opportunity to learn and develop, through play. “As play is children’s work, children learn and develop through each new experience of play, we have formed our activities within an Islamic ethos which makes us unique in the whole of Scotland.

What makes us unique is that we are always striving for more as we have a passion for being outstanding.

It hasn’t been easy and there have been many challenges along our journey but through the support of the community and most importantly by the grace of Allah, we continue ‘in the pursuit of excellence’.
